Make-Up Quizzes for Algebra I & Geometry

Click on the proper link below to get the quiz that you missed on Friday, March 5, 2010:

The way to submit your answers to your quiz:

a. E-mail me at whatsmynumber@gmail.com with your answers by 10:00 PM on Sunday, February 28, 2010.

OR

b. You will print the test with your work and turn it in by Monday, March 8, 2010 at 3:40 PM.

Absolutely NO EXCEPTIONS to the above.

I will not accept BOTH ways from one student. Doing so, will void your results for this make-up test.

Do your best on it! Good luck!

Geometry Question #7

Thank you for visiting the blog. You have until Sunday, March 14, 2010 by 11:59 PM to answer the following TWO-PART question. Make sure that you use COMPLETE sentences. For example, "No", "Yes", or "I don't know" would not be acceptable for full credit.

Click on the link above and then post your comment. If you haven't signed up for the blog, click on the "Follow" button in the left margin.

If you choose not to "Follow" the blog, click the drop down arrow below the comment box and choose "Anonymous".

Either way you do it, be sure to include your first and last name, class period, and your answer to the question in the comment box.

If you have any problems commenting, please e-mail me.

Here is the two-part question...
a. Besides being math teachers at the Cedar Hill Ninth Grade Center, there are three teachers -- Ms. Andra, Mr. Veal, and yours truly -- that have an unusual trait with their names. These are the ONLY teachers at the NGC that have this trait. Can you tell me what that trait is?

b. An Algebra throwback: What is the equation in slope-intercept form of a line that passes through the points (5, 1) and (-10, 5)? If either the slope or y-intercept is a decimal, convert it to a FRACTION!
