Today marks a couple of milestones... my father-in-law has a birthday today and it is also my (Dallas) pastor and wife's wedding anniversary.
But there is something mathematically that happens today. Do you know what it is? Post your guesses here.
My random mathematical thoughts are recorded here along with contests and puzzles for those interested.

It's Almost That Time...
Summer break is approcaching the end, so take in as much as fun as possible...
Then open up your mathematical mind and come in running for the 2010 - 2011 school year. You must believe that this will be the best school year yet and thinking anything less than that is just not acceptable.
We'll be here all year long for your math (and puzzle) needs. STAY TUNED for assignment postings, announcements, games, and more.
Go ahead, it's OK to think about the new year...

2010 Math TAKS Results
We did it!
I wanted 112 of my students to pass the Math TAKS test this year and we exceeded that goal! You have made me proud, but most importantly you should have made YOURSELF proud.
In case I don't say it when the year is over, I just want to say thank you for the privilege to teach you math this year. You are welcome to come back and visit the blog. Good luck next year and the years beyond!
